Danielle's Animal Safe Haven

DASH (Danielle's Animal Safe Haven) rescues dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals. We bring them back to health, make sure they have all of their shots, and are spayed or neutered. Then we find them a new FOREVER home. We are a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the health and well-being of animals. All our staff are volunteers.

Meet Odie Orange *FTA*

Introducing Odie (Orange)!! We don't know what his life has been like to this point.  He is a sweet boy who was only able to trust his handler and became "clingy" once he did.  Odie is very affectionate & is starting to come out of his shell. He is housebroken, crate trained with no barking, walks on a leash & has learned sit, stay, down, wait & leave it so far. That's a lot for such a withdrawn little fellah to learn in six weeks, so he's shown he is willing to learn, eager to please & a pretty smart guy! He doesn't particularly like other dogs & has trouble interacting with them. He would probably NOT be a good fit in a home with children!! Odie is very protective of his environment & the people in it, so he will bark if strangers intrude. Once he's met someone & knows he isn't in danger he is a very affectionate boy. He needs to learn how to trust people, play with toys & just be a confident, happy boy. If you have it in your heart to give him some time, patience & love, you could help this lil guy blossom into a great pet! It does seem Odie loves women and is very clingy and prefers them over a man.  * Note: Odie is part of our Foster to Adopt program. Apply now if you are interested in testing how he would acclimate in your home* If you're interested in adopting, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website, www.dashanimalrescue.org
