Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue, Inc.

We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Shih Tzu and other toy breed dogs from a variety of situations. We pull from a number of shelters in and around Ohio; we take in breeder releases from commercial breeding facilities and owner surrenders as space permits. We do this so that hopefully we can reduce the number of Shih Tzu and other breeds euthanized in shelters due to space and place all of our dogs in loving permanent homes.

Meet Biscuit - OS

Biscuit's adoption donation is $375 and she is being fostered in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention. Biscuit also had a dental cleaning. Biscuit came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a sweet girl who has adapted well in rescue and would love to have a home of her own with her own people. Biscuit walks well on a leash and does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. Biscuit enjoys the company of other dogs and playtime as well. Biscuit's most favorite thing is walking. She loves to go for walks so can explore but she also loves to chillax in the sun. Her second favorite activity is going for rides in the car, she loves to look out the window.

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
