Meet Dancer - BD

Meet Dancer  Dancer was born into rescue on December 16, 2024, alongside her siblings—Dasher, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, and Cupid. A DNA test revealed that their mom is primarily Pit Bull and Pointer, with some Mastiff and Lab mixed in. While we don’t know who dad was, we anticipate these pups will be large-breed adults, likely over 60 pounds. Dancer is a bright and busy girl who already knows how to sit and is doing great with potty training. She’s crate trained and happily naps in her crate at night, when left alone, or even just to give the bigger dogs in the house a break from her antics. Dancer has been lovingly dubbed a "wild child"—she sprints around the house and pesters the resident dogs to play. She’s high energy, silly, and full of life, but also loves to snuggle with her people and dog friends once she’s worn out. Dancer is curious about the household cat and will try to engage in play. While she does back off after a swat or two, she may chase a running cat in play, so a home with dog-savvy cats—or no cats—is preferred. She enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, playing with squeaky toys, tennis balls, tug-of-war, and chewing on little Kongs. Dancer doesn’t have an “off switch” when it comes to dog play, so she’ll need either a similarly playful young dog who enjoys roughhousing, no other dogs, or adopters committed to monitoring and giving the resident dog(s) space as needed. Given her breed mix and expected adult size, continued training and socialization will be important. We strongly prefer a home with opposite-gender dogs, if there will be other dogs in the household. Dancer has been dewormed, is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and will be spayed soon. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting Dancer, please apply—we’d love to hear from you!
