Second Chance Animal Rescue

We try to focus on mostly pit and pit mixes. Especially those with medical needs or those who have been at the shelter the longest. One of my foster fails was at a shelter for almost a year. She was constantly overlooked and she is the best dog. I started the rescue in hopes to help other dogs like her that are simply overlooked.

Meet Kane

Kane is a very shy and sweet boy. He will need an adopter that is familiar with the breed and knows how to help him gain confidence. He is not a candidate for an adopter that hasn't had dogs in the past or any adopters with small children. He is crate and house trained for the most part. He does get nervous when you leave and sometimes has accidents in his crate. He is dog selective and would do best in a home with no other dogs. Kane is very smart and rings a bell on the door when he has to go outside to potty! He loves to nap on your lap and would make a great work from home buddy. He was abused when he was a little puppy and has an unusual bark. He's been through a lot and needs an adopter that will be patient while he adjusts to his new home.   Kane is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, neutered , microchipped, dewormed and on flea/heartworm prevention.    Kane’s adoption fee is $200.     The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application. Interested applicants can apply at:    https://www.scarohio.org/adoption-application

Adoption Process
Application submitted, references checked, home check, vet check, meet and greet scheduled, contract signed, fee range on age of pet
