Dia duit! (That’s “hi” in Irish!) My name is Siobhan, and I’m a 2-year-old, 35-pound Irish Terrier mix with a heart as beautiful l as the Emerald Isle. I’m as charming as my name sounds—and my foster family says I’m absolutely perfect! I’m fully housebroken and love my crate—it’s my cozy little sanctuary. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, big and small, and I’m cat-friendly too! I’ve got a playful spirit and think toys are one of life’s greatest joys. Whether you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, a walking companion, or a loyal friend who’ll make you smile every day, I’m your girl. So, if you're ready for love, laughter, and a little Irish luck, let's meet!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
