I started OBHR over 17 yrs ago. Love the breed. We have rescued over 2000 dogs. We have no age limit, we take seniors, dogs with medicals problems, pregnant dogs. I do it because I want to make sure these dogs are taken care of.

Meet Ruby

Welcome to OBHR Ruby!!! Ruby is about 2 years old and just a social butterfly who loves to cuddle! Ruby is unique among all the dogs OBHR has had as she is the only one who came to us via plane transport! She is now clicking her Ruby red basset paws together and saying “there’s no place like a FOREVER HOME”! Ruby is spayed and UTD and ready to go! She needs a home with a fenced in yard. Apply to adopt Ruby at ohiobassetrescue.com and if already approved email [email protected]. Her adoption fee is $250 and she is currently in Columbus. 

Adoption Process
Puppies $250 1yr to 8 $200 8yrs and older $100 Must fill out an application, be approved and sign a adoption agreement. We always take the dog back for any reason. Must have a fenced yard, vetting must be good, no kids under 5 yrs old.
