From Shelter to Superstar: Miles is Ready to Make You Laugh! Meet Miles, a gold-and-white Shih Tzu with the heart of a puppy and the energy to prove it! Don’t let his mature looks fool you—Miles is a squeaky toy-chasing, belly rub-loving goofball who lives for playtime and snuggles. His very favorite thing in the world? Snuggling up next to you—or right in your lap—for endless pets and affection. He’s smart, sweet, and has a gentle temperament with no aggression. Miles is leash-trained, crate-trained, and rides well in the car. He gets along great with other dogs but doesn’t require a canine companion. While he could do well in a family setting, a calmer household may suit him best as he can be a little shy, especially around men. He must have a securely fenced yard—Miles is an escape artist in disguise and needs a physical boundary to safely enjoy his zoomies and backyard adventures. He’s not a fan of cats, loud noises, or being left alone for long stretches, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal. If you're looking for a loving, playful sidekick with a heart full of sweetness and just the right amount of silly, Miles is your guy! Miles adoption donation is $450 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, and started on prevention. Miles has also had a dental cleaning.
Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
