Meet Gigi! Gigi is deaf & her personality is just charming. Because Gigi is deaf she always has an eye on her foster mom. She’s very aware of her surroundings & she’s very smart. She will follow simple hand signs & she knows the pattern at home. Gigi is a sweetheart. She is a soft, wiggly, pudgy girl. She loves food & treats, adores other dogs & would be thrilled to have a dog friend in her forever home!! Gigi is around 1 1/2 years old and 60 lbs! She has soft thick lab like fur, has a pudgy lab shaped butt & the most precious spots. When she sees something interesting she points! We are guessing that she’s a lab / bird dog mix! Apply to adopt her today!!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
