Meet Beleg

Beleg  a 2.5 month old unknown breed is a legendary hero in the realm of Cuddl-orien. Named after a great Elven warrior, this pup has traded his bow and arrow for squeaky toys and belly rubs (a wise choice, honestly). Beleg’s noble quest? To find his forever fellowship. His weapons? A devastating puppy stare, an unstoppable tail wag, and the ability to fall asleep mid-battle (usually during tug-of-war). He is already mastering the ancient arts of house-training, crate snoozing, and heart-melting. He has already mastered the ancient art of sitting quietly , judging you lovingly, and sensing when cuddles are needed. He doesn’t bark orders, he watches… calmly… probably plotting how to steal your heart (and your snacks).  If you seek a companion that is already showing signs of being both an intrepid adventurer and a thoughtful observer Beleg is your soul dog. 

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
