Paws Across Pittsburgh

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals.We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.

Meet Buffy

Buffy is a 6 month old, ~35lb, male german shepherd/husky mix. His piercing blue eyes and soft as silk fur make him as handsome as they come. He is a loveable puppy who is happiest snuggling by your side and wants nothing more than to please you. He also loves to play fetch, have sprint races, and play with other furry friends! While he hasn't had the easiest life so far, he is learning to trust and love humans and has come such a long way in a very short period of time in his foster home. He is working on crate training and doing great! He even sleeps 8 hours in his crate at night with no accidents. He is also fully potty trained. Ideally, he would love a home with another dog to continue to build his confidence. A fenced-in yeard would also be great as he will need some time and instruction to continue his leash training. Buffy is currently in a home with other dogs, kids, and cats, and loves them all. Buffy is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Apply for your new best friend today!
