Kasey approximate birthdate is July 12, 2015 . He has been neutered, vaccinated and he has a registered microchip. Kasey weighs approximately 80 lbs and his adoption fee is $300.00 + tax. You will never meet a more handsome dude than Kasey! His unique brindle coat is soft and fluffy and his eyes are a mesmerizing copper brown. He is as smart as a whip and eager to please. He would be a brilliant and fun student in obedience classes. He looks for approval and guidance. He walks politely on a gentle leader. Kasey kennels eagerly with a treat and remains quiet while kenneled. Has lived with children over the age of 5 and has done great with them. Kasey loves to play with other dogs and has lived happily with a cat. He has a cute game of kicking around tennis balls before returning them. He loves to go for walks and runs great along side a bicycle. He would be great with an active family who would like to include him in daily activities. He would love a fenced in yard that he can run freely in while spending time with his family. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Kasey please complete an adoption application at: savingtails.net *Due to the STAR adoption process and the continuing support of our rescue animals, STAR does not do adoptions outside of a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities area. Saving Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) is a 501(c)3 registered no-kill, non profit animal rescue. All animals are placed in loving foster homes until their forever family finds them. Because there is not a physical shelter location, foster homes are needed to help rescue local animals who are in danger of euthanasia. If you would be interested interested in fostering an animal in need; please fill out an application at savingtails.net
Adoption Process
Adoption Application- Individuals interested in adopting a Saving Tails Animal Rescue animal can view all available animals on the STAR website. When they find an animal that they may be interested in meeting they will then complete an adoption application. This will then start the process of a potential adoption. It does not âbindâ an applicant to the specified animal that they complete the application for, it merely is a request to meet an available STAR animal.
Application Review- All Applications are thoroughly reviewed. If the applicant may be the right match for the animal, it will be forwarded to the foster caregiver for review. If the foster caregiver feels that their foster animal would be a good fit for the potential adopter; he or she will contact the applicant to answer questions about the animal and make arrangements for a meet and greet.
Please understand that it is very important to find the right match for both the animal and the adopter. An application that is not approved for a certain animal does not necessarily mean that the adopter would not make a great pet guardian; it merely means that the adoption may not have been the right match.
Approval to go Forward with a Meet and Greet- Meet and greets are scheduled with the foster caregiver and the potential adopter. These can be done at any convenient location for the foster caregiver. Adoption events would be the preferred location, but often time they are done at the caregiverâs home, the potential adopterâs home, or an animal friendly business.
Home Visit- If after the meet and greet, the animal is determined to be the right match for the adopter, the adoption will then be listed as âpendingâ. A home visit will then be completed by a STAR volunteer. This is a home visit to determine if the home is a safe place for the animal. If a dog requires a fenced in yard, this will also be thoroughly checked at this time.
Finalize Adoption- After the home visit is approved, the adoption can then be finalized. There will be an adoption contract to fill out and the adoption fee to make payment for. Arrangements can then be made with the foster caregiver to pick up the new family member!
