Hello, my name is Suki and I came as a transfer from another shelter so not much is known about me. What we do know is that at some point, I was shot in the leg and have some bullet fragments remaining that cause me to limp. I am currently on pain meds and antibiotics to make sure the bone isn't infected, but I get around great! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you'll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.
