Meet Walker

Meet Walker!  She is one of Franny's puppies, and the largest of the litter.  Mama is a GSD and daddy is (insert your guess here).  Walker is 10 weeks old, about 25 pounds and she is very smart.  She learned "sit" almost on the first try (treats are helpful!), and we are working on "down".  She seems to naturally "heel" and has pretty good recall, for a puppy.  She is very social, curious and confident with humans and other dogs, but would probably annoy dogs who don't enjoy an "in your face" puppy.  She enjoys romping in the shallow waters of the Chesapeake Bay and paddle boarding.  Yes, she's that adventurous!  She loves a good game of tug o' war and is about 95%  houetrained.  She is crate trained...will sleep through (most) nights in her crate.  She is curious about the cats in her foster home, but will only chase if kitty runs.  She is VERY energetic, so foster mom brings her to the beach for an hour each morning, plays tug throughout the day and brings her for a romp at the school with the big dogs in the evening.  Because a tired puppy is a good puppy!  If you are an approved puppy adopter and interested in making Walker part of your family, please contact your adoption coordinator.  Otherwise, if you're in VA, NC or MD, please submit an application at www.southeastgermanshepherdrescue.com (be sure to read the FAQ section).  Walker is being fostered in Virginia Beach, VA.

Adoption Process
$300 adoption Fee + Signed Adoption Contract are required after approval. Approval includes a Vet Interview, Phone Interview, and Home Visit.
