Ruff Love Foster Care and Dog Rescue

The mission of Ruff Love Rescue (www.ruffloverescue.com) is to provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, neglected, and/or abandoned dogs; especially those seen as poor adoption prospects. We maintain information about reputable canine organizations and rescues, networking with as many of these as possible to place adoptable dogs in responsible, loving environments, either through foster care or whenever possible, forever homes. We are a home based foster group with no adoption facility. We adopt to North Carolina but in special circumstances can go out of state. We use every pro-bono means at our disposal to raise public awareness about homeless animals and responsible pet care as well as to find homes for our dogs. Dogs who are not adopted will live out their lives at Ruff Love. Ruff Love Rescue is run entirely by volunteers. We have full time jobs and save dogs in our spare time. Currently RLR has over 100 dogs. Since 1999, Sue Rogers, President/Founder and RLR volunteers have found forever homes for hundreds of homeless dogs.

Meet Magnum

Magnum is a sweet Black and Tan Coonhound.  He's playful, active and just looking for a new home.  He has that wonderful Coonhound "Ur Ur Urrrr..." bark that is so endearing. His vet estimated birth date is January of 2021. We found out at the Paws and Ponds event that he loves swimming, so if you're looking for a sweet Coonhound that loves to swim, this is the guy for you. He seems to get along with other dogs just fine.   ~Adoption donation $300 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Adoption Process
adoption application, including all pets spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines inclluding Heartworm. on approval a home visit and 10 day home trial with a personal adoption coordinator and support from a local trainer. Adoption fees are $150- $200
