We cater to senior dogs that have been turned into the shelter or to a veterinarian for for euthanasia but it is not their time yet. We get their medical needs met and if adoptable we adopt them out. If it isn't feasible to have them adopted they stay in our system until it is their time to cross the rainbow bridge.

Meet Starr

Introducing Starr! Meet beautiful Starr, a 9-year-old sweetheart who recently came to Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue after being surrendered to the Rocky Mount Animal Shelter. Thanks to two amazing followers who rushed to the shelter and busted her out for us, Starr is now safe and surrounded by love! Starr was clearly loved for 9 years by her owner, and while we don’t know the unfortunate circumstances that led to her being surrendered, we do know this: we are going to make sure she finds the best adoptive home ever. This brave, affectionate, and curious little lady appears to be in great health. She’s up to date on her shots, spayed, andready for her next (and best!) chapter. Adoption Process
We require an application filled out with 3 references, vet references and or records on all dogs living in the home. We do a home visit and all persons must be present.
