Our name says it all, PIPs’ primary focus are medical and special needs dogs that are often overlooked. We call these dogs “PIP-abled” which means perfectly imperfect. A dog that may need a wheelchair, is missing limbs, deaf, blind or in need of some extra love and care – this is our niche.While we love our PIP-abled dogs; puppies, healthy adult dogs, and seniors have our hearts as well. We are inclusive of all dogs in need.

Meet Peanut

Name / Breed / Age: Peanut , Chihuahua mix, Puppy  Personality Traits: Happy go lucky, The Social Butterfly, Loveable Likes / Dislikes:  loves attention. No major dislikes yet. Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be spayed/neutered between 4-7 months. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!Meet Peanut – Small Pup, Big Personality!Peanut is the first to greet you with tail wags and kisses, always ready for love and cuddles. She’s a champion snuggler with a heart full of sweetness—but don’t let that fool you! She’s also full of sass and spunk when it’s playtime with her siblings. Peanut may have a sensitivity to some medications, so she’ll need a bit of monitoring, but she’s well worth the extra love. If you’re looking for a spirited, affectionate companion, Peanut is ready to steal your heart.

Adoption Process
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
