Meet Boden
Name / Breed / Age: Boden, Australian shepherd mix, Puppy Personality Traits: Happy go lucky, Curious, The Class Clown. Likes / Dislikes: Boden loves belly rubs and crinkle toys. No major dislikes yet. Health and behavior history: Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be spayed/neutered between 4-7 months. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!Meet Boden! This fluffy little guy is full of curiosity, joy, and just the right amount of mischief. Boden is happiest when he’s exploring, playing with a canine buddy, or snuggling up after a good romp. He’s social, silly, and handles downtime like a champ—no complaints when it’s time to head into his pen or crate. As an Aussie mix, Boden does show some typical aussie behaviors (yes, he may gently try to heard his people now and then), so he’d do best in a home familiar with the breed and ready to help channel his smarts into fun and positive outlets.Boden was born with a condition called microphthalmia, meaning one of his eyes is smaller than normal. While we’re not sure how much vision he has in that eye—maybe just shadows—his other eye sees just fine. He navigates with confidence and this does not slow him down. He’s currently working on his crate and potty training and will need continued guidance in his new home, but he’s already off to a great start.Boden is a sweet, spirited pup who’s ready to bring a whole lot of love (and a little Aussie sass) into the right home.pipsrescue.org/adopt
Adoption Process
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions.
The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have.
Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption.
Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
