Meet Logan

Logan is a sweet, chill, 8 yr old Shih Tzu who weighs only 9lbs. He likes everyone he meets and loves snuggling with his foster family.   Logan loves to wander the yard, getting fresh air and investigating his territory.  He would do best with a fenced yard, but we would consider one without, as long as Logan was taken for a few meandering walks throughout the day.  Logan appreciates several naps during the day and loves being carried around in his dog sling so he can be closer to his people.   This little guy prefers a home where his people are around most of the time. He likes to cuddle with other dogs, but isn't too interested in playing with them. Logan has a heart murmur but doesn’t need medications at this time. He will need to be monitored regularly and have annual (or sooner if needed) cardiac evaluations. Heart murmurs are not uncommon in small breed dogs, but he may eventually need Vetmedin, so his adopter should ensure financial resources are available for yearly monitoring and medication if needed.   The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC and VA. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. An all-adult home (no children or grandchildren) and a yard with a secure fence, 4ft or higher, which is attached to the home is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $450
