Meet Diamond
Diamond is an affectionate 5 yr old, 7 lb male Yorkshire Terrier. Diamond’s foster mother says he’s a small energetic and handsome little boy. He is full of energy and stays busy all day long, checking things out, rolling in the dog bed, wagging his tail, or walking around demanding attention. Diamond really needs someone who can match his energy and loves playing with him and giving him lots of attention. Diamond needs to be an only dog since he won't hesitate to stand up for himself or push another dog's buttons, even dogs bigger than him. Diamond craves attention and constantly shows you he is a very happy little boy. Diamond is very loving and whoever adopts him will be very lucky. Diamond came to us as a “breeder” release dog which means he had never lived in a home as someone’s beloved family member so needs to learn housetraining. Diamond currently wears a bellyband (a male dog wrap). Diamond’s new home will need to continue with is housebreaking instruction. He would do best in a home where there are little to no stairs both inside and into the backyard because he hasn’t yet learned how to use them. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/4 inches, which is attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed.
