Meet Iris
We’re excited to announce that our lovely two-year-old Mountain Cur mix, Iris, who we rescued from a local kill shelter back in February, is now ready for her forever home! This beautiful girl came to us pregnant and gave birth to a wonderful litter of puppies in her foster home. She was an incredible mom, and we are so proud of how she cared for her little ones. Now that they have all been weaned and found their forever families, it’s time for this amazing mama to find her own happy ending! ❤️ Over the past few months, we've been focusing on her recovery from motherhood, socialization, and getting her fully vetted. We’ve learned so much about her personality, and we can’t wait to share it with you! She’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and has a love for adventure. An active family would be her perfect match! ♀️♂️ While she can be a bit shy in new environments and around new people, she warms up quickly and will shower you with love once she feels comfortable. We’re currently working on learning some basic commands and she is very food motivated and very smart! Ideal Home for Her: - Active family that loves adventure! - She would thrive as the only dog. - We’re still learning how she interacts with cats. ❓ ✅ Fully Vetted: - Spayed - Microchipped - Fully vaccinated - Heartworm negative - Dewormed - Current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention ️ Are you ready to give this wonderful mama the loving home she deserves? If you think you could be the right match for her, please reach out! ❤️
Adoption Process
Adoption application; references checked; home visit done. The adoption fee is $250. We have an adoption contract which enumerates our requirements for the animal to be a family pet, and that the animal be returned to our rescue if the adopter cannot keep the dog. We require dogs to be family pets, living indoors.
