Meet Declan

Hi, I'm Declan!  I'm a 5-year-old pup and just 9 pounds of love. Life hasn’t always been easy for me—I was surrendered and came from a place where I wasn’t treated very kindly. Because of that, I can be nervous around strangers and might bark to protect myself and the people I trust. But with patience, kindness, and the right training, I know I can keep moving forward and leave my past behind. I absolutely love being held and snuggling up in bed—it’s my happy place! I also have a playful side and really enjoy a good game of fetch. I'm still learning how to walk nicely on a leash, so I’ll need someone who can help me practice with gentle guidance. I'd feel most comfortable in a calm, quiet home without children or lots of visitors. But you know what would make me really happy? A small doggy friend! Having a little playmate would not only be fun, but it would also help give me confidence as I continue to grow and heal. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just needs a little extra love and understanding, I think we’d be a perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever snuggle buddy.
