Meet Rufus

RUFUS NEEDS A FOSTER Rufus has had an awful life.  You can tell just by looking at him. We don’t think he ever really had an indoor life prior to rescue. He is heartworm positive and has so many lumps and bumps. He is in desperate need of a foster. He needs someone to show him how to be a dog! He is currently in boarding Port Rover. If you’d like to meet him, we can schedule a time to meet any interested foster.  Rufus is approximately 6+ years old and weighs 70 lbs. He is up to date on vaccines, rabies, dewormed and microchipped. He is not neutered yet but will be after he completes heartworm treatment. He did good on his dog test at the shelter but we are unsure of his dog compatibility so we recommend an only dog home or crate/rotate.. Rufus has a moderate energy level, therefore he will require a fenced yard or an active home. He will also require and endless amount of treats and toys!!  If interested in fostering Rufus or any other dog please send us message.
