Meet Rocky

Rocky is a neutered male Labrador Retriever mix, born in March 2024, Rocky is a male horse of a dog with an abundance of energy. He is fully house trained and loves to run and play. He enjoys his toys and playing in the water. He will walk on a leash but still wants to pull when he sees something or someone he wants to play with. That will resolve with a little more time and training. He has been around other dogs, cats, pigs and chickens with no problems at this time. He loves to lay with his human and chill at night but will also lay on his in bed when told to. He will come when called and sit and lay (with a treat). He is very food motivated and has learned quickly. Now he just needs a forever home that can allow him to be able to run some of his energy out. So, if you are looking for a companion that will join you in your active life, this is your boy. Adoption fee $50 This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.     Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.

Adoption Process
Complete and submit a dog or cat adoption application online from our Website. Our volunteers will then review the application, and contact the adoptee if approved. Then the adoptee will need to complete and submit the Pet Adoption Contract, and pay for the adoption.
