This sweet girl came in as a stray when she and 3 other dogs (who are all here also) decided to take up residence on their finderâs porch. Their finder was afraid the canine crew was going to get hit when they ran off property and into the roadway, so an Animal Control Officer brought them here to safety in hopes their family would find them. While no one came to claim her or the other members of this canine crew, they are all now in adoption looking for new families! Betsy is so nervous being here at the shelter and to be fair, after being on your own with lots of freedom and friends for who knows how long prior to coming here, we dare say weâd likely be nervous too.Betsy is thought to be 1-year 1-month old and this white and brindle girl is SO sweet!! We know she gets along with her friends with whom she arrived and while she was a little shy at first when meeting a new friend being here, she greeted him warmly and with sweet relaxed tail wags. Betsy is a fan of being carried right now, due to her nervousness and unfamiliarity here. She will surely master leash walking when she is relaxed and is more familiar with her surroundings. She is super sweet, loves scratches and doesnât mind if you want to check out her tail, paws or ears!!This sweet girl is ready to find her forever! If you donât see her in her kennel when you come to meet her, please ask staff to introduce you. She is still getting used to the newness of the shelter and is finding comfort in a corner away from the bustle of all the strangers coming through. We canât guarantee your heart will melt when you meet her, but we almost bet it will! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption, with whom our dogs will share a home or spend time.
