Our dream is that one day, we won't have to.MERCY:An event to be grateful for, because it’s occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering.RESCUE:Save from a dangerous or distressing situation.HAVEN:A place of safety or refuge.Mercy Rescue Haven is an animal rescue group located in Upstate SC.MRH was founded after the rescue of Mercy, a pit bull mix that was found starving and alone. Mercy passed away 5 months after her rescue due to leukemia, this rescue is to honor her.

Meet Gretchen

Meet Gretchen! Age: est 2 years. Breed: pointer mix. Size: approx 50lbs. Training: crate, leash, and doing well with house trained. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to both. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. Personality: friendly, affectionate, and playful. Reason for rescue: Gretchen showed up and had pups in someone's carport. Animal control picked mom and pups up once they were old enough. We rescued mom and pups. Gretchen was very timid when she came in, but she has come SO far. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. When she came in, she was heartworm positive, but has been treated. She will also go home with the remainder of 6 months of heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adding this sweet girl to your family, please message for an adoption application. Adoption fee: $75.
