Meet Max—a tiny, 10-year-old, 4-pound sweetheart who just lost everything he knew. When Max’s owner passed away, his world was turned upside down. Sadly, no one in the family wanted him. He was left without a plan, without care, and without a home… We took him to the vet to get up to date on his shots and to schedule his neuter and dental surgery. Then came the bloodwork. The results weren’t what we hoped for. Max may be battling serious kidney and liver disease—an uphill fight for any dog, especially a senior. But Max is a fighter. And we are his team. We’ve scheduled an ultrasound to learn more and are preparing for the next steps, whatever they may be. We know this won’t be easy—or cheap—but Max’s life is worth every penny and every effort. Please, let Max’s story be a reminder: if you have pets, make a plan for them in case something happens to you. Too many seniors like Max are left behind simply because no one was pre pared. If you are interested in fostering him or adopting him, please submit an application at at https://rainbowbridgerescue.org/adopt/. At this time we are unsure if he will become a hospice foster or if we will be able to adopt him out. If you would like to donate to his medical care, please visit us at https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=VJEXAFXEE84BE
