CrisisDogsNC

CrisisDogsNC is a foster-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit founded in 2017 by journalist and author Judith Reitman Texier whose investigative articles garnered international awards and prompted changes in animal welfare laws. She created the Organization in response to North Carolina’s euthanasia rate which is among the highest in the country and to many of its shelters’ methods of euthanasia that are so inhumane they are outlawed in most other states. We rescue dogs from kill shelters, substandard backyard breeders, hoarders, and from chains. We provide full medical care, foster homes, and transport by land and air through our partnership with PilotsNPaws to fully screened and qualified adopters all along the East Coast. What distinguishes us from other rescues is our focus on the relationship between the rescued dog and the new family. By understanding your lifestyle and expectations, as well as the personalities of our rescue dogs, we can make a compatible match for a lifelong bond. We are in it for the life of the dog. At any point after adoption, if the adopter's situation changes for whatever reason, we will always accept the dog back into the rescue.

Meet Alyssa Bonded With Neveah

Alyssa is a 2-year-old, 13-pound chiweenie mix. ***Bonded with Neveah*** Alyssa is a shy sweet girl who is laid back and happy.  She is bonded to her sister Neveah. We will not split the two dogs. The dog fee is for both dogs. Alyssa has a beautiful soft red brown coat of hair.  Her eyes just draw you in and she has the most endearing personality.  She is crate trained and house trained!  Alyssa loves to be held, to watch TV by your side on the couch, and generally likes to be close to you.  Alyssa is good with all kids, all dogs, and all cats.  If you are looking for a relaxed, easy-going pair, and good-natured dogs, as an addition to your family, this sweetheart pair are the dogs for you! If you are interested in adopting Alyssa & Neveah please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!
