Best Friend Pet Adoption

Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in central North Carolina. BFPA has no building, office, or shelter. We are an all-foster network committed to helping dogs and cats in need of homes. Individual donations are our most important source of income as we receive no public funding. Our purpose is to provide medical assistance, foster homes, and adoption services to previously lost, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals in Wake County, NC and the surrounding counties. Our mission is to educate this disposable society in which we live that every life should be valued and cherished and is directly linked to human responsibility and commitment.Almost all the animals we rescue require immediate medical attention. BFPA never turns away or euthanizes an animal because of the expense involved in returning them to good health. All our rescued animals are evaluated for temperament, examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, microchipped (if possible) and sterilized, if age appropriate. Cats and dogs receive monthly flea/tick preventative and dogs also receive monthly heartworm preventative. The most important ingredients we provide to these animals are loving care and a safe haven -- something most of them have never experienced. These cats and dogs live in volunteer foster homes until we find them a loving permanent home, however long it takes. We match these precious beings to a single, couple or family who understand cats and dogs should be full participating members of the family. Our hope is that these animals never have to experience being unloved again.Since our beginning, BFPA has rescued and placed over 2,500 cats and dogs into their forever homes.BFPA was created in 1998 by two Raleigh-area women who had volunteered with other established rescues in the Triangle. Their dedication to help homeless dogs and cats has led to an organization that has grown to over 225 volunteers strong.BFPA received 501(c)(3) status in 1999.

Meet Eno

All Best Friend Pet Adoption dogs require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application. The link to our application is  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  It can also be found on Eno's bio page at bfpa.org.  Who is looking for an older puppy who has good house manners and is housebroken?  Look no further, Eno is your girl!  Eno is very friendly with other people!  She loves everyone she meets.  Eno has been around, 4 yo and a 10 yo children.   She gets very excited but I insist “No jump” and she will sit down.  Eno is housebroken but still needs to go outside on regular potty breaks. She isn't a fan of being crated but I leave her loose in the house for 2-3 hours and there are no accidents.  She isn't destructive and has good house manners. Eno is very friendly with other dogs. She currently lives with a larger dog and two cats.  She would probably do fine with a dog savvy cat.   Eno loves to potty and play in her little fenced in courtyard best but is learning to walk gently on a leash.  Eno’s has a lot of energy though she does sleep through the night and takes a nap every afternoon.  She is a gentle pup and can occupy herself for long periods of time with her toys. She especially loves a deer antler to gnaw on.  Eno’s new home can have a furry friend or she would do well being the center of attention as a solo dog also.   Eno can't wait to see what exciting adventures life has waiting for her once she finds her forever home! She is packing up her toys already and can't wait to meet you. Please consider making Eno a part of your family.  She is a joy!  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Eno's mother (Tiki) was rescued from a shelter and we didn't know she was pregnant. Her foster came home and discovered she had a litter of four sweet girls waiting for her.  What a surprise! Maybe you can open your home for one of these lucky puppies. They love dogs and all people.      Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants should live no more than an hour away from Raleigh/Durham. For the perfect home, we may consider applicants who live a bit  further away.  INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ENO? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC
