Meet Peaches

Peaches is a 2-3-year-old Maltese/Shih Tzu who weighs 9 lbs. Peaches is a happy and active little Maltizu. Peaches could be an only dog or have another dog in the home under 15 lbs. Peaches would do best with someone who can match her energy level.  Peaches is affectionate and gives kisses.  She runs like the wind both inside and outside. She is doing great with house and crate training.  Her foster parents have not started leash training.  Peaches is very quick and can get under your feet easily, so she is a trip hazard.  Peaches will require weekly combing at the same time, her hair is not the type that mats easily. Her hair is silky soft and would probably grow long if desired.    The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be at least 4 feet with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing), it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
