Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love

Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love was started by a group of volunteers dedicated to saving Danes and other dogs, especially one’s that may be passed up by other rescues due to special needs. We are an extension of Ruff Love Rescue, a 501 c (3) non profit based in Thomasville NC.Great Dane Friends helps people to: * Determine the right breed for their lifestyle. * Find healthy, compatible dogs who fit their wants and needs. * Find new homes for dogs whose families can no longer keep them. * Provide all necessary medical care to return the Dane to good health.

Meet Callie

Meet George! George was adopted from Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love in 2021 and his family decided they wanted to build a new house and while it is being built they need to live in a camper and there was no room for George so they surrendered him back to us. George is now 8 yrs old and a super sweet boy but understandably is a little confused. But George is going to be just fine! George is being fostered in Asheville NC and will be available once he’s settled in and has a chance to decompress.

Adoption Process
Application,vet check,personal reference check,phone interview and home visit. Required to sign a contract that we can check on animal at anytime,the animal has to be returned to us if they can no longer keep them and they must live indoors as a family member. Fence is required but exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
