Meet AWESOME OAKLEY
Meet Mr. Oakley!! This sweet gentleman is 10 years old and he weighs 24 lbs. He has begun his weight watchers program and will soon be loosing some weight. We suspect that table food has been part of Oakley's regular diet. Well no more! If he could loose at least 5 lbs he would be much better off. An overweight dachshund is prone to back issues and we definitely want to prevent that. He needs a family that will take him for walks and continue his diet plan. Oakley gets along well with other dogs and loves his foster brothers and sisters. He likes to hang out with them in his foster mom's fenced in yard. He is great with people and will go up to you immediately to be petted. Oakley is content to lay beside you but does like to go wherever you go. He is not needy. Just wants to see where you are. This super sweet boy is also good with cats!! He would be better in a home with older children, 7-8 years old. No toddlers. Since we suspect people food contributed to his weight we don't want to tempt him with someone walking around with food. Plus this older gentleman deserves a quiet home. A experienced dachshund family would be best for this great guy. Oakley is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped. To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast,net. APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. (Oakley is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)
Adoption Process
All potential adoptors must complete the application request form on any dog. Before placing a dog with an adoptor Critter Companion conducts a vet check to ensure proper health, gets the dog up to date on all shots and neuters the dog.
