Buffalo CARES was started by 7 people who have worked together for years at various other rescues. We started this rescue because we wanted to make sure our rescue was run the right way. We saw a need for a rescue in the Buffalo, NY area that would help & rescue local dogs. The majority of our animals are local animals.

Meet Sanders

Hi! My name is Sander and I am a 3-year-old staffie/pittie mix with a soft beautiful brindle coat. I was found as a stray right here in Buffalo and I was living at the Buffalo Animal shelter until my foster mama took me in. Once I get to know you, I will be your best friend, give you endless kisses and snuggle up on your lap even though I weigh almost 60 lbs. I live with three other dogs right now of all different sizes. I really don't like cats, so no kitty friends for me. But I have been friends with every human I have met from big to small. I love running outside and belly rubs galore. I am ready for a family of my own if you are ready for a lifetime of loyalty and love you can apply for me @buffalocares.org Adoption Fee: $425.00 RR48

Adoption Process
All adoptions require, reference checks, vet reference checks, home visits, meet & greets. From there we will determine if that applicant is right for the dog they are interested in. At the adoption, a contract will be signed and an adoption fee will be paid. Fee's are based on the specific dog. Puppies, adults, bully breeds or special needs.
