Meet Shiva - So Pretty!!

Shiva is a beautiful girl who is in need of a new home. Shiva is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Shiva wants to be your ride or die! She LOVES to go for car rides! She is good at stores and restaurants and loves to say hello and meet people. Shiva is good with other dogs as long as they are good with her. She can cohabitate but she isn't looking to play either. Shiva will holla back if threatened! Shiva is otherwise described as laid back, aside from her errands and social events, she is also happy to be a couch potato. That is atypical of what you might expect of a heeler but maybe the pitty has evened that out!  Shiva prefers to be near you and had some separation anxiety with her foster initially which likely speaks to her past. She is good now for up to 6 hrs alone at home but that might be something her new family has to build back up. She is well behaved so her foster in Louisiana does not crate her. She might explore the garbage is there is something that smells good in there but overall she is a very good girl. She loves her home and yard and has grown protective of it. Storms and fireworks make her nervous but she handles other loud noises and distractions well. She is housebroken.   Shiva   is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me!
