Meet A Tortellini

Tortellini is available for adoption. She is 6 years old and weighs 6 lbs. Her adoption fee is $800.00. Tortellini is a 6 yr old 6 pound little girl who is recovering from surgery after being hit by a car while she was a stray. The vets say she will be 100% when she’s all healed but part of her jaw may be missing. She is underweight at the moment but starting to put it back on now that she is getting proper nutrition (and all the love she can take)!  She is on anti-seizure medication as well as prescription food (canned I/D only until mid-June) Amazingly, she is pee-pad trained with only a couple of accidents over the few days we’ve had her.  She appears to walk well on a leash, but she’s restricted to the back yard for now due to her vaccination status. Once we walk in the park we will know more about her leash etiquette and her socialization with humans and other dogs she might meet out there.  She will be introduced to the rest of our little pack at home once all her vaccines are effective. At that time we will assess her demeanor with other dogs more fully.  She has a full tail that she loves to wave at her humans. There appears to be a little separation anxiety right now which we’ll work on. Also, she is an amazing jumper so care must be taken when she’s left alone behind a baby gate. Also, there is nothing she likes better than a human lap and will immediately hop in if one becomes available. Tortellini will be available for adoption mid to late June. Tortellini is staying with Maryann and Michael in New Canaan, CT.

Adoption Process
We ask for a $25 processing fee. We require people to have a vet history, dog experience, and time to work with a dog.
