Say hello to Sammy, a sweet and happy-go-lucky boy with a heart as big as his smile. Life hasn’t always been easy for Sammy - he lost the tip of one ear after being attacked by a kennel mate at the shelter, but sweet Sammy holds no grudges. He still greets other dogs with a wagging tail and a heart full of trust. Sammy is about 6 months old, weighs 30 lbs, and has a gorgeous red coat, soft brown eyes, and a personality that will melt your heart. He’s super friendly with dogs and humans alike. Cuddling up on his human's lap at the end of the day is his happy place. ♥️ Why we love Sammy (and you will too): Dog-Friendly & Social: Sammy gets along beautifully with other dogs and has zero fear of them, even after his past trauma. He’s happy to play with other pups or entertain himself as long as he has his favorite toys nearby. Kid-Compatible: Calm and respectful children are no problem for Sammy...he enjoys their company and fits right into a family setting. Cat-Curious: Sammy does show interest in cats and will bark at them, so he’d do best in a cat free home - or one with dog savvy cats and an adopter willing to guide him through slow, positive introductions. Adventure Buddy: Great in the car and always up for a ride, Sammy is a fantastic co-pilot whether you're running errands or taking a road trip. Chill & Easygoing: Although playful, Sammy is a fairly relaxed little guy with a sweet, affectionate nature. He’s what we’d call an “easy keeper"; low-maintenance, good-natured, smart and eager to please. Sammy is neutered, vaccinated, and on preventatives. He is ready to bring joy and companionship into a lucky family’s life. Sammy is a special pup! Honestly, we think he’s just about perfect.
