Patty is the kind of dog who makes life feel just a little bit calmer. This 8-year-old beagle mix has a soft, affectionate nature and a heart full of quiet charm. Weighing in at about 35 pounds (with a few of those being "love pounds" she's working on shedding), Patty is the definition of low-maintenance companionship. She has an easygoing, submissive temperament and gets along well with other dogs. She’s reportedly done fine with cats and kids as well. Patty is kept on leash or in a fenced yard when outside to prevent her from roaming off on her own. Her gentle nature suggests that respectful children would be the right speed. She does well when left in the house -no drama, no fuss, just a nap until you return. Patty thrives on human connection. She enjoys being petted and is happiest curled up beside you on the couch in the evening or lounging in her dog bed while you work. She’s affectionate when you’re close, but independent enough to be content sunbathing in the yard. Patty loves car rides! A pretty "easy keeper", she’s not a barker (unless something startles her) and is a laid-back girl who likes her stuffed toys, a comfy place to rest, and a human or two to adore her. Patty is still learning basic manners, like not jumping up when excited, but she’s eager to please and very sweet about it. If you’re looking for a mellow, loving companion who’s easy to live with and even easier to love, Patty might just be your perfect match.
