Mission Statement: Our Mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused dogs. By working with committed volunteers, already established veterinarians and trainers, we will nurture, provide medical care, and rehabilitation to these animals while providing a safe and loving "cage-free" environment for as long as it takes to find them adoptive homes. Our Vision: Our vision is to decrease the amount of dogs put to death every year, and prevent cruelty and suffering to all animals. Through humane education via our resources and educational classes, we aim to increase public awareness regarding the over population of adoptable animals in municipal shelters and beyond, and to that end we are firmly committed to:-Rescuing dogs from municipal shelters that are in danger of being euthanized-Educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering of companion animals and micro-chipping pets-Advocating for animals through political participation with our Community representatives

Meet Tonk

 IN VERMONT  Meet Tonk (of Tonk & Tanya)!  Tonk is 11 months old, male (approx. DOB 6-25-24), 31 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. From his new foster mom after 3 days: "They are both very smart and have obviously done some training. Know how to sit, shake, and down without any prompting (you hold a treat and they both just start doing them until they get it. It’s very cute) Have had zero indoor accidents so far, so I would say possibly potty trained as well. Tonk definitely has more energy of the two, while Tanya can settle down more easily." They have done well with kids (subject to parents supervision). UPDATE / From Tonk's VT foster: Meet Tonk! A goofy little pup that has the most gorgeous eyes and a love of toys and attention. He is very treat/food motivated and such a smart boy. He already knows how to sit, shake, lay down and come when he is called. House trained and a great play-time buddy, Tonk does well with other dogs and adapts to the play style of whatever dog he’s with. If you’re looking for a dog with medium energy who also enjoys cuddles, Tonk is the pup for you! Stay tuned for more information as Tonk is a new rescue! Adoption Process
Applicants fill out an application and, once thoroughly checked, referenced, and approved, are invited to meet the dogs they have interest in. All dogs are in foster homes. Once they have met their match, they sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
