Monroeâs journey hasnât been easy, but her spirit remains unshaken. This beautiful 5-year-old Cane Corso mix came to us as a stray, underweight and in need of some serious TLC. Since then, she has made tremendous progress â not just in her physical health, but in letting her true personality shine through.Now steadily gaining a healthy weight, Monroe is showing us more and more of the joyful, affectionate, and strong-willed girl she is. Her big personality is emerging with every passing day, and sheâs proving to be both resilient and incredibly loving.Monroe has a soft spot for toys â theyâve become her greatest comfort during her time in the shelter. Whether she's snuggling with them or carrying them around proudly, her toys have been her constant companions and a source of joy. In a home, she would absolutely thrive with a toy bin full of her favorites and a cozy spot to call her own.Sheâs still working on a few things â namely, managing her excitement and learning not to pull on the leash. These behaviors are a work in progress, but Monroe is making strides and would benefit from continued, patient guidance and positive reinforcement training. Like many large-breed dogs, sheâs strong and energetic, but also incredibly loyal and eager to bond with her person.Monroe has overcome so much â now all she needs is a family to show her what it means to be truly loved.
