I’m Max, a cozy, curious, and adventure-loving pup looking for my forever home. If I could sum myself up in a few words? I’d say I’m equal parts cuddle bug and trail buddy. I love the little joys in life: snuggling into a faux fur blanket, catching the early morning light, and winding down at bedtime. I’m happiest laying in a sunny patch or in front of a crackling fireplace. Walks and hikes are my idea of fun, especially if there are squirrels to spot or new smells to explore. Squeaky toys? Yes, please. Frozen sardines? Don’t even get me started. And don’t forget belly rubs and kind words—those make my tail wag like crazy! I’m a sensitive guy too. Loud, unexpected noises like fireworks or thunderstorms make me a little nervous, and I can get overwhelmed by little kids, so I’d do best in a mature household. I bond deeply and love with my whole heart once I trust you, I’ll be ALL-in! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s as happy on a trail as he is curled up by your side, I just might be your guy. And now, a few words from my foster mom: Max is a loving, loyal, and quirky guy who has brought a lot of joy (and laughs!) into my home. He thrives on routine, adores his walks, and is happiest when he’s curled up in the sun or soaking in praise and belly rubs. When he gives you cuddles, he knows how to absolutely melt his entire body into you for the best hugs ever! That said, Max would do best as the only dog in the household. He seems most comfortable and relaxed when he doesn’t feel the need to compete or assert himself with other dogs. Max would thrive with an experienced dog owner who can give him clear boundaries, lots of love, and a calm, structured home. He’s a sweet, affectionate companion who really just wants to be someone’s one-and-only. If that sounds like your kind of pup, Max would love to meet you
