Meet Caroline

Caroline came to us as a transfer from another shelter a little over 3 years ago, This little lady lives life large! Probably a mix of pit bull, perhaps pug, and who knows what else, Caroline has been described as a cross between a pit bull and a stick of dynamite. She has that much enthusiasm for everything she does! Caroline needs to be challenged, stimulated and guided by a firm but loving owner. When she first arrived, Caroline had no tolerance for other dogs, but has learned to accept that they can have a place on her planet when she's out and about, but never, never sharing the same home. On the other hand, she is incredibly social with the two legged sort, often assuming the role of Mayor, greeting everyone she meets when walking throughout the nearby village. She just loves a party or just good conversation and is always happy to take center stage. Caroline has a great sense of adventure and has a positive can do attitude! Just check out the pictures from our walks - trying out a skate board, a swing, a toy car, you name it - she'll try it! And, it's always her idea! If something has wheels and a motor - even better! In fact, the bigger the better! The UPS truck was great, the heavy equipment in the parking lot was a blast, but a plain ol' car will do just fine, as long as it transports her for a new adventure! Caroline is not a dog for a first time dog owner, but for an experienced person who loves a dog with a strong personality, a sense of humor and a sense of adventure. If this little pumpkin isn't well understood or challenged, she'll come up with other things to amuse her, which, you probably wouldn't find nearly as funny as she does. For the right person, Caroline promises to be one of the most entertaining, lovable and engaging dogs you'll ever share your home with. This little pumpkin is about 4 years old and weighs in at just about 37 pounds (of solid muscle). Adoption Fee: $200 (dogs over 1 year) or $250 (dogs under 1 year) includes spay/neuter rabies, DHLPP and kennel cough vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, heartworm testing, heartworm preventative, microchipping and microchip registration fee. Please call us at 607-594-2255 ext. 201 to schedule an appointment to meet her. Adoption application and details on adopting can be found on our website here: http://schuylerhumane.org
