Meet Nova

Spring has finally sprung. If you are planning to start a new fitness program, Nova is just the gal to help you stick to it! At a little over a year old, Nova will be a great hiking companion, running partner or walking buddy. Those long, sturdy legs give her lots of endurance to go the long haul. It doesn't appear that Nova had a lot of structure or training before coming to us, but she has proven herself to be a very willing and apt student. She is learning her manners and basic commands quickly. Nova will greet just about everyone she meets with an enthusiastic tail wag and promises to be a great friend. She loves a good cozy, bed at the end of a day of play. Nova appears to be accepting of her kennel companions, but can be dog reactive when meeting new dogs. Adoption Fee: $200 (dogs over 1 year) or $250 (dogs under 1 year) includes spay/neuter rabies, DHLPP and kennel cough vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, heartworm testing, heartworm preventative, microchipping and microchip registration fee. Please call us at 607-594-2255 ext. 201 to schedule an appointment to meet her. Adoption application and details on adopting can be found on our website here: http://schuylerhumane.org

Adoption Process
Filling out an application for adoption. This can be done online or at the shelter. We call landlord if they rent to make sure they are permitted to have a pet. We do a veterinarian check if they have other pets to ensure the animals are up to date with vaccinations and receive annual wellness exams. All family members need to meet the animal to ensure it is a good match. Cat adoption fee is $85; Kittens are $100. Dog adoption fee is $200; Puppies are $250 All details are on our webpage: https://schuylerhumane.org/cat-adoption/ https://schuylerhumane.org/dog-adoption/
