Location: MD. Meet Deacon! Like his namesake (Queen bassist John Deacon), this rough-and-tumble pup is ready to rock and roll! About Deacon: • 2-year-old male purebred Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) • 45 pounds of solid muscle and in excellent health • Sweet, outgoing, and affectionate • Neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives Personality & Skills: • Medium to high energy with good recall • Fearless and eager for adventures • House trained, crate trained, and doggie door trained • Walks well on leash and loves car rides • Highly food motivated and knows several basic obedience skills and tricks Favorite Activities: • Daily hikes with the foster pack • Swimming in the pond • Retrieving balls • Chewing on Nylabones • Riding on small boats with his foster dad • Snuggling on the sofa after a day of play Important Considerations: • Requires daily physical exercise and training • Not suitable for cat households (high prey drive) • May be too energetic for smaller dogs and young children • Can get into cabinets and chew items if left unsupervised • Would also thrive as an only dog with an active, attentive owner If you're looking for a devoted adventure buddy, look no further than Deacon! Adoption Process
ADOPTION FEES All puppies and adult dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. All adult dogs are spayed / neutered. Puppies under 1 year: $350 Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are adopted with a Spay/Neuter Contract which includes a $50 deposit which is refunded when you submit proof of spay/neuter. Age 1 - 6: $300 Age 7 - 9: $250 Age 10+: $100 Age 7+ adopted by a person 60+: FREE (Any donation is appreciated) Need our help transporting over 3 hours from foster home to adopter: $50 - $150 depending on distance (in addition to adoption fee). NOTE! All dogs are adopted with a 2-week trial period. If you decide the dog is not a fit for your household and the dog is returned to the rescue within 2 weeks of adoption, the adoption fee will be refunded.
