Meet Victor - MEET ME!

To apply to adopt this dog now and/or meet in a private meeting on June 14th or sooner, complete our adoption application  HERE If not adopted beforehand, this dog will attend the Super Dog Adoption Event on June 15th at Waterfire Arts Center in Providence, RI. Learn more about this event and sign up for 10am Early Entry  HERE   Age: 1 year (as of 03/27/24) Weight: 16.2 lbs (as of 05/22/24)   This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.   Victor is a one-year-old Wire-Haired Terrier mix with the cutest underbite you'll ever see! In his foster home, Victor has quickly shown what a good boy he truly is. He took to his crate like a champ, staying clean and quiet, making it clear he was well-mannered. House training? Not a problem for Victor—his previous dad had taught him well and he knew exactly where to go when nature called. Victor has lived peacefully with other dogs, and also enjoys playing with them. When it comes to humans, Victor’s heart is wide open. He adores every bit of attention, soaking up all the cuddles and love he can get. We hear he lived with school age children in the past but currently does not live with kids. We recommend that you and Victor sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 60 days or so of bringing him home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends. Victor dreams of a home where he can be the center of attention, where he can snuggle up with his people and share his big heart. He imagines a place where he can explore, play, and most importantly, love and be loved. Victor’s Story:  Once upon a time, there was a family who had big hearts and over time had taken in 14 dogs, one of which was Victor was very fond of another one of the family dogs and ended up becoming the proud poppa to a new litter which added even more dogs to the family.  One day, Victor’s family decided that 14 dogs and a new litter were just too many to handle, and they made the tough decision to surrender some of them to SOS’s Arkansas rescue partner. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
