Meet Pearl in MS - Very Loving & Sweet Girl!

This adorable Pyrenees Lab girl is Pearl, a great mix of two wonderful breeds! Pearl is a very sweet girl who loves to play with her best dog pals Yeti and Sophia. She is not hyper at all, she has a lower energy level but she would love another dog or two for companions to play with. Her foster mom describes her as loving and laid back. Pearl came in from one of the worst neglect cases we have ever seen in all of our years of doing rescue. Pearl is doing remarkably well considering all she has been through. Her foster mom has done a fantastic job working with her. She will come up to you for attention and pets, she is very loving. She is an adorable, very sweet girl who has come such a long way from when she first arrived to rescue. Pearl will likely be a bit shy when transitioning to a new home until she settles in and feels comfortable and secure. We just love this sweet girl and so will you. Pearl still needs leash work and would do best with a patient owner who will work with her and give her time to learn a new routine. Pearl was so neglected in her former life and was in horrible shape when she arrived to rescue. Pearl is heartworm positive and we are treating her with the slow kill method and provide meds until she tests clear. We are so thankful for her kind fosters who worked with her and the rest of the dogs in this group to get them ready for homes of their own! Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQfor an application and information about our fostering program. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page. Please complete the adoption application and visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about Pyrs and our adoption process. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt rescue who has been rescuing the breed for 15 years.  Visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed. More Information: Questions? The fastest way to learn more about a dog is to fill out our online application. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting this animal as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply.  We have many Pyrs and Pyr mixes who need homes and not all of them are posted.
