Meet Joey

Meet Joey – Looking for a Patient and Loving Home  Joey is a 2-year-old male pup, weighing in at around 42 pounds. This sweet boy is still learning how to feel safe in the world. He’s a bit anxious and easily startled, especially around new people, but beneath that uncertainty is a gentle soul waiting to blossom with the right support. Joey hasn’t had any vetting yet and is not neutered. He shows no signs of mange or major health concerns. While he’s generally very tolerant with humans—food can be taken from him without issue—he has shown some food protectiveness around other dogs, so he should be fed separately or in a crate for everyone’s comfort and safety. The great news? Joey is GOOD with other dogs and even cats! He just needs a calm, stable environment with someone willing to go slow, give him space, and show him that the world isn't such a scary place. If you’re patient, understanding, and ready to help a sweet, nervous boy come out of his shell, Joey just might be your perfect match.
