Meet Joe Pye
Joe Pye Pembroke, MA Spring is here and some fresh little wildflowers have popped up! Aster, Joe Pye, and Bergamot have been blossoming in foster and are ready to be transplanted into their individual adoptive homes. Joe Pye is overall the most interested in working, and most handler-focused, of the trio. He is more likely to solicit attention rather than affection, but does enjoy pets and will settle at your feet with a toy. JP enjoys playing tug and training, and will offer behaviors in an attempt to get you to engage with him - he's also a pro when it comes to puppy dog eyes! All three siblings have been quick to explore and love running around playing in the yard. They're typical pestery puppies towards the older dogs and rambunctious wrestlers with each other. Food motivated, enjoy toys, and looking to learn and grow with their families! They have not exhibited the mouthiness and herding instinct typical of heelers and seem to be medium energy; each would love an active home to play, train, and adventure with! Mom was reportedly an ACD, but with neither parent around it's hard to determine what mix they may be. I'd guess ACD and some bully breeds (among others, most likely). They're solid little puppers, and I estimate they will be around 40-50lbs as adults. Their birthday is likely around the beginning of March, and at time of writing they are around 11wks and 12lbs. They have lots of exposure to new dogs, and while they have not met cats I anticipate they will be fine with proper integration. Dog-savvy children 5+ should be fine! The pups are working on housetraining, crating, and foundational skills; as puppies, their adoptive families will need to continue this training. They are microchipped and up to date on monthly preventatives/deworming, have age-appropriate vaccinations, and are being adopted out on spay/neuter contracts to allow their puppy bodies and minds more time to develop. The puppies are available to separate homes, and must meet their potential families prior to adoption in order to help ensure a great match.
