Meet Buddy (urgent foster or adopter needed)
Meet Buddy – A Sweet Senior Searching for a Soft Place to Land Buddy is a 9-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, weighing about 75–80 pounds, with a heart as big as his blocky head. His estimated birthday is January 26, 2016. This loyal boy was adopted from a shelter in Oklahoma and has spent the last few years in a quiet, loving home in Hackensack, NJ — until everything changed. In November 2024, Buddy’s devoted owner passed away at the age of 93. Since then, Buddy has remained alone in the home, visited daily by kind family members who feed and walk him. With the house now up for sale, they’ve realized that it’s time for Buddy to find a new home — one filled with love, warmth, and companionship. About Buddy: Neutered & Microchipped Scheduled to go to a vet visit Personality: Sweet and well-behaved Knows basic commands House-trained and respectful Described as an overall good dog by his late owner's family Buddy's Ideal Home: Adult-only (that’s what he’s used to) No cats Unsure about children Best as the only pet or possibly with a calm companion after a meet A calm, loving foster or forever home where he won’t be alone anymore Buddy is likely heartbroken and confused, but with a gentle hand and a loving heart, he’ll flourish again. He’s not just looking for a home — he’s looking for a person to love. If you can offer Buddy a place to rest his head and feel safe again, please reach out. He’s ready to be your loyal companion.
