We are a dog rescue located in Hudson, NY and owned by Nature Defense Foundation, a non-profit organization. We pull dogs from overwhelmed kill-shelters in the United States and give them a second chance. We keep them as long as they need before they find the right home. We do it because we can, and we are grateful to be able to help these dogs.

Meet Daisy

Daisy is a 59-pound Brittany Spaniel/Plott Hound mix that is about 2 years old. She is a gorgeous, elegant, intelligent young dog. She loves to run and play, and she is happy curled up on the couch getting scrunches. She loves people and is good with other dogs. She is very well behaved, house trained, great on leash, and ready to be a loving part of your family!

Adoption Process
Potential adopter fills out a form with info on preferred dog as well as what they're looking for in a dog, plus a vet reference among other things. I call them and discuss the dog(s) they're interested in, as well as any dogs I feel would be a good fit. We set up a meet & greet with all human and dog members of the family. If all goes well, an adoption fee is paid, a contract is signed, and the family goes home knowing they can call/text me at anytime for help if needed.
