Meet Sadie
Sadie was born about January 26, 2023 and will likely weigh about 60. She appears to be mostly GSD, but if we had to guess a second breed we would go along the Collie or Ausie side. Sadie came to us from dog control a few towns away and she was wandering on her own for a couple weeks before someone was able to contain her. A note from her foster mom; Sadie is sweet, smart & active. She is fearful at first, but quickly becomes very affectionate & attached to her people, always watching them & following them.Sadie is highly food/treat motivated & can reach all areas of the kitchen counter (working on teaching her “down”).She gets along “mostly” well with other dogs & cats but has chased the cats & has played rough with small dogs, necessitating close supervision.Sadie is crate trained but will cry/bark when first crated. When taken out of the crate, she jumps all over you with excitement, thus very small children wouldn’t be safe with her. She is almost housebroken but not quite perfect yet. Sadie is able to easily jump a 4-5 foot fence but will only jump it to get to her people if they’re on the other side. She pulls a bit on leash, but walks well & will sit when you stop walking. Thus far, she has gotten car sick in the car. Sadie is a smart, strong, loyal sweet dog, she’s just young & needs an outlet for her energy & continued basic training.
