We are a dog rescue located in Hudson, NY and owned by Nature Defense Foundation, a non-profit organization. We pull dogs from overwhelmed kill-shelters in the United States and give them a second chance. We keep them as long as they need before they find the right home. We do it because we can, and we are grateful to be able to help these dogs.

Meet Moby

Moby is a 50-pound English Pointer / Staffy mix. He is all love all the time. He enjoys running and playing, is great with other dogs, and cherishes his scrunches and hugs. He was rescued from Sullivan County NY where he was living in a car with his two siblings. He has been in terrific hands with us and is ready for his forever family.

Adoption Process
Potential adopter fills out a form with info on preferred dog as well as what they're looking for in a dog, plus a vet reference among other things. I call them and discuss the dog(s) they're interested in, as well as any dogs I feel would be a good fit. We set up a meet & greet with all human and dog members of the family. If all goes well, an adoption fee is paid, a contract is signed, and the family goes home knowing they can call/text me at anytime for help if needed.
